Parodia warasii: A dark green, cylindrical cactus that can reach 20.0" tall and 6.0" wide. It has about 15 sharp ridges running its length which are covered with lots of flexible yellow to brown spines. It is native to Brazil where it grows from crevices in cliffs and produces offsets around its base to form clumps. It blooms with silky yellow flowers atop each stem. This species can tolerate a bit less sun than most cacti.

How to Care for Your Plant:
Soil: Use a fast-draining soil mix primarily composed of peat moss and/or a succulent and cactus mix, supplemented with plenty of perlite.
Light: Place your plant in bright, indirect light indoors or in shaded areas outdoors, avoiding prolonged direct sunlight.
Watering: Water infrequently—no more than once a week, depending on your local climate. Ensure the soil appears and feels dry before watering again.
Potting: If kept indoors, use a well-draining terracotta pot to promote healthy root growth.
Fertilizing: Fertilize once a month during the growing season with a suitable houseplant food.
