Graptoveria 'Opalina' – A Shimmering Succulent with a Touch of Pink

Graptoveria 'Opalina', a stunning hybrid (Echeveria colorata × Graptopetalum amethystinum), is celebrated for its opalescent rosettes and low-maintenance nature. This versatile succulent features powdery blue-green leaves coated in protective farina that blush pink along the edges in bright sunlight. With its upright, distinctive leaves, 'Opalina' can grow into impressive rosettes up to 8 inches wide, making it a standout addition to any collection.

Features and Care Tips:

  • Dynamic Color: Blue-green tones in partial sun that shift to pink-edged beauty in brighter light.
  • Cluster Growth: Produces offsets at the base of the mother rosette for a full, clustered appearance.
  • Trailing Stems: Can develop trailing stems up to 8 inches, adding dimension to hanging displays or container gardens.
  • Fast Growth & Easy Propagation: Trim and replant to maintain compact growth or multiply your collection.

Care Instructions:

  • Place in sunny or partially sunny locations to enhance its vibrant colors.
  • Use well-draining, gritty soil to prevent overwatering and root rot.
  • Water deeply but only when the soil is completely dry.
  • Protect from frost and provide indoor care during cold weather.

Propagation Pro Tip: For best results, cut a stem below the rosette with a sharp, clean tool. Let the cut dry and callus for 3-5 days, then replant in gritty soil. Water regularly until new roots form.

Graptoveria 'Opalina' is the perfect choice for succulent enthusiasts looking for a resilient, eye-catching plant. Whether displayed indoors or out, its shimmering hues and easy care make it a favorite for gardeners and decorators alike!

She came a little damaged; had 2 broken leaves but I'm sure it'll manage. Hoping it'll acclimate well!
